Yeah I know what you mean. On the sedan aren't the two speakers in the shelf just sub woofers? That is what the manual suggests. So then you just have the rear door speakers in back to produce most of the normal range of sound from the rear. This is likely to get absorbed/muffled out if your in front I'd think.
Not the configuration I'd have designed but I 'm not much of an audiophile so it will be fine. However, if the subs died I consider a different speaker arrangement perhaps.
