Thanks for the correction, somewhere I obviously got Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 7 Feb 2007 11:53:45 In Reply to: Correction: 9-5 uses ISO, not CAN, Douglas, Wed, 7 Feb 2007 10:58:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
bad info. Since the reference I quoted in the other reply links CAN to the year 2003, your statement makes more sense than mine. Either way, my 2006 9-3 requires the CAN functionality.
One other item for anyone looking to buy one of these devices. I visited both the Equus and AutoXray sites at lunch, entered a randomly generated P1011 code into both company's on-line code identifiers, and got different responses. The AutoXray site had no information on this code for any vehicle, the Equus site had brand specific definitions for both Saab and Toyota vehicles associated with the number sequence I made up as a test.
As of today, it appears Equus may be a better choice.
