but I would compare your PCV to this picture from genuine saab. the changes from update to update are subtle. number six has two check vales, and the a tube attached to the oil fill tube. other updates had only one check valve, and the attachment moved moved from the valve cover to the oil fill, and back.
there are also subtle differences in the size of the openings in the oil trap.
I think an easy check would be:
1 - is there a vent tube attached to your oil fill? if *not* update to #6
2 - do you have two check valves? if *not* update to #6
3 - check the PCV hoses, are they soft and beginning to deteriorate? *if so* update to #6 (its due for replacement).
NOTE: this is not definitive (except for #3)! its all very confusing and not a little annoying really. sad that it took Saab 6 tries to get it right!
