I bought a set of KDWs several years ago. At the time I was cautioned by the tire shop to stay away from square shouldered tires like that one. The store manager said Saabs tear 'em up.
Of course I didn't listen. They were harsher from the onset, and a bit noisier than other tires -though a lot quieter than the Michelins they replaced. I had touble keeping them balanced. They'd run fine for a few days then need to be rebalanced. They finally road force balanced the wheels and that helped a lot. Like another poster said, winter tires provided a better ride.
Even so, the tires were prone to cupping. After 24K miles, the tread started separating. I've run Michelin's since then withou problems.
