3.0 9-5 engine internals

Does anyone know specific details about the 3.0 v6 engine that was used in the 2003 9-5's? I'm wondering about things like are the pistons forged, and what parts might be different from a Saturn 3.0 and Catera 3.0. I ask because I need a new engine (thrown rod). From what I have found, the SAAB engine is 9.5:1 and the others are 10:1, but virtually no other details. The SAAB engine has lots of "goodies" inside. There is a girdle, windage tray and the rods caps are the precision fracture type.
There isn't much difference between 10:1 and 9.5:1 especially since the turbo pressure is very low to begin with and the engine management system should be able to take care of things if it does knock a bit. More compression is not ideal with boost, but internals are the same I think it should be okay. If the SAAB engine did have forged piston then I'd rather stick with another SAAB engine. You can buy 2 or more used Saturn engines for what the average 3.0 SAAB engine goes for.
Any info is appreciated!
