I have a 2001 9-5 wagon that I bought as a CPO. About halfway through the three years of my CPO warranty I did the Nordic Stage 1 thing: different ECU, Remus, different fuel regulator, drop-in filter. My dealer, Iowa City Saab/Meyer Garage, was fine with it. And there have been NO mechanical problems caused by any of these modifications nor should there be, really. I can see if you went all the way to the highest Stage Ever that it might cause warranty concerns, but modifications like the ones I did are not really a cause for worry that I can see so long as you keep on top of the maintenance. And you'd want to do that anyway. That's my experience. Other dealers, those who don't know what they're doing at GenuineSaab, might be wary. They shouldn't be.
