agree its a great car that you will love to drive.
for the record if you are modest DIYer:
1 - carry a spare DIC, I bought a used one off of ebay
2 - ABS can be rebuilt for $300 & easily replaced.
3 - shocks ... well any car will need shocks.
4 - ACC fixes are generally inexpensive or free if DIY. outrageous if done by the dealer.
5 - theft alarm batteries can be replaced or have the dealer program the car to use the horn instead of the alarm chirper.
also you will want:
- PCV update #6
- replace headbolts, they were loose/defective from the factory
- was the 60k maint done? its pricey if done at the dealer.
- new pulleys. at a minimum the smaller idler should be replaced every 60k. I do all 3.
- install the fuel fuel line bracket (the fuel line clips are known to break at the fuel pump) which results in a substantial fuel leak
- verify that your DIC was replaced under warranty. (that sounds bad ... I think I know why they are starting to call it an IDM now ... )
