you should be able to "set it and forget it". I set mine on 70, summer and winter, and never have to touch it. its a really nice system when working correctly. much better than the 9000 ACC.
FYI when set on high, it moves the air fast enough that the whoosh of air is quite loud ... loud enough that its annoying and I have to crank up the radio. does yours make that much noise? if not its reasonable to suspect that you have diminished flow.
agree with you & dude that your cabin filter could be plugged causing the reduced flow. easy and cheap enough to replace. see link
Another possibility is that the blower motor could be failing and simply not spinning fast enough.
no recirc? could be a failed or disconnected recirc motor. pretty easy to check and replace .
also, do run the ACC Diags (press AUTO+OFF) with the car running. do you get any codes?
