Serious question: how do you know that the boost dropping is causing the jerking feeling? Could it be that the jerking feeling (momentary drop in engine speed) is causing a drop in boost? The reason I am asking is that I have been experiencing VERY similar occurrences in my plain old 2000 95 for over a year now. I have unsuccessfully worked on this problem for the same length of time. So far, I have replaced:
fuel filter
fuel pressure regulator
vacuum hoses
plugs
cleaned the bajeebers out of the TB
used techron on a regular basis
run 93 octane
I have already replaced the TB (at 75kmiles, now at 133kmiles) and the DIC was swapped last fall under the recall.
Any further description of your problem as well as any diagnostic info you can provide would be appreciated. I'll do the same.
