Nokian Z's easier to find than before (longish)

Distribution is getting better-- but if you can't finad a dealer and really want these, don't hesitate to call the Nokian office and buy them directly.
I had both Nokian NRV's and Nokian Z's for my 9-3. I live in Oregon, and on the advice of my dealer, looked into Nokians. I got the NRV's sometime in 2001-2002, and with zero local distribution basically dealt directly with their offices in Tenn. Super nice folks, and I seem to recall they even cut me a break on the price. The NRV's were a fantastic upgrade, and by the time I needed new rubber I was so sold on Nokians that it was the only brand I seriously shopped. By this time (2005), Nokian had a presence in the region-- the Tire Factory chain (180 locations in 11 western states) and ordered the Z's there. One week later, my 9-3 had new rubber, and those tires were absolutely great-- fantastic grip no matter what the conditions.
Well, some 23-year old punk T-boned and totalled my 9-3 last year, and I should've had the presence of mind to pry those babies off the rims before I said my goodbyes to the Swede. I'm driving a pre-owned '99 9-5 base these days with new Michelin Pilot Exaltos (a gift from my dad, a former Michelin employee). Because this model is more of a cruiser, the rubber is appropriate... but if I ever break down and get that ECU upgrade and Aero Suspension, I guarantee you I will beat a path to the Nokian dealer.
