Questions Regarding Oil Cooler Reseal

I am resealing an oil cooler cover on a 3.0 V6 and I have a couple of questions.
1. Can you remove the cooler and cover in tack as one unit and not break the seals between the cover and cooler at the oil lines to reseal the cooler?
2 What is the absolute best sealant to use for this job to reseal the cooler cover. I have found Permatex Ultra Grey to be the best I could find for this appplication. It states "specially for high-torque and high vibration application , like those common in import engines"
3. The bottom intake section or flange as they call it appears to have blue locktite on the threads. Is this correct or is it some type of blue sealer?
I appreciate anyones help and advice on this job. I have the car down to the point of looking at the top of the cooler and crossover tube and I am going to order my parts.
