There are serveral ways. Alignment makes the wheel hit the road straight and flat.
Case 1. The vertical is out. i thing that is camber, you will wear the inside our outside fast, depending on which way it is out.
Case 2. the tires are like \/ or /\ This can make the car go straight but scrubbs the rubber off.
Case 3. // or \\ and you have to correct by turning the wheel to go straight. Same issue.
This is just the front assuming the rear is straight. Otherwise and tire not going straight will make the others and it self wear more since they are going in a direction not straight down the road.
