Install the #6 PCV update on your second car. If.....by the time you experience the effect of not doing the update, the damage will already have been done. At that point the cost of repairs, which could be high, will seem enormous compared to the money you saved by not installing the upgrade.
As a general rule preventive maintenance is bargin. Often the benefit is not immediate but rather a large cost saving down the road. An example is checking the air in your tires. By the time you feel the effect of a tire underinflated you've already ruined the tire....as opposed to free air added and a slow leak caused by a nail repaired. Another, more costly example, is not changing oil/filter regularly....by the time you feel the effect, you've already ruined the engine....usually more expensive than the oil/filter changes you skipped and saved money on.
