Since a few days ago I have a strange problem on my 9-5 (2002).
No matter what temperature is set inside the cabin, the AC might or might not start cooling (it seems as if the car is doing that at will). I have checked with a local mechanic and he claims that everything is OK with the compressor and that R134 level is OK too. He thinks it is something electrical.
STRANGE PROBLEM: the other day AC was blowing cool when set to "LO". I turned it off and later wanted to start it again. The temperature gauge was set to 58F but AC started to blow hot air, as if it was trying to heat up the cabin (external temperature was around 70F and the inside was a similar too). I could not set the temperature down to "LO", and no matter what were the other settings, it was always blowing hot air.
The next morning AC was operating normally ?!?
Any idea what's wrong (Computer, temperature sensor, etc.)?
