There are wiring harnesses already in the car. You would just have to plug in the seats and buy switches to put in the dash. I am pretty sure that all the rail and bolt patterns are the same regardless of year in the 9-5. The Aero seats 2002 and up are built differently but can still be put into a non-aero without modifications. They are much "beefier" with lots of support. Look on ebay at a 2002+ aero vs. a non-aero and check out what the seats look like. If you end up doing this, remove the battery cables 10 or 15 min. before you start and don't put it back in or try to start the car until EVERYTHING is plugged in where it should be. If you don't do this you will have an airbag light on the dash that won't go away unless you pay the dealer to get rid of it. Be careful; there are airbags in those seats so handle them accordingly. Good luck. Oh yeah, http://www.fixmysaab.com has a good step by step set of instructions with pictures to remove the seats.
