2004 Saab 9-5 Aero - 32K on the odo. This weekend I turned the radio off by pressing the button while the car was running to take a cell call and when I pressed it again to turn it back on all I got were the Sounds of Silence and not the S & G kind.

Radio stations display on the SID, tape works, CD plays, etc but no sound out of the speakers even if I turn it up to 11. I do get the turn signal, which I believe comes via speaker. I checked all the fuses that are documented in the owners manual pertaining to the stereo and all were A-ok.

Anyone have this experience or have an idea what I might check next? Secret hidden Swedish mute button that I kicked on somehow? I'm still under warranty but I was hoping to solve via DIY.

(I must say, I am enjoying the silence in a way, time to clear the head and listen to the motor do its thing)
