I've got an '01 base wagon, 76k miles, and I like it better than any of the new Saabs I've driven as loaners. It had all kinds of problems the first 40k miles but has run well since, and I'm hoping to get a good many more years out if it. I have no interest in new 9-5s as I don't see how they are any better for my purposes (and I think they're uglier), and the 9-3 is a bit small for my tastes. Will be interested to look at the "next" 9-5, though I'm not entirely sure that there actually will be one.
