First, thanks to Boomer, 20years and NCSaab for their thoughtful replies to my hesitation-at-speed question, especially to Boomer for suggesting the throttle body and NCSaab for agreeing and even suggesting a trouble code, P1231. I took the car to its appointment at K&N in Ann Arbor this morning and described the problem and what the consensus of Saabnet responders had been. The Tech II/OBD II indicated, ta da, code P1231. How prescient of you, 20years! Anyway, this may all be moot in that the the hesitation problem has gone away (about 750-1k miles ago) and hasn't reappeared, even though the code had been "left." Rather than to replace the TB, they gave it a thorough squirting w/ carb cleaner, figuring that it wouldn't hurt. Duringthe 60-mile drive home, all was fine. I go to PA again on Sunday, so we'll see how things go on a longer trip. Again, thanks again to all.
