Hi all,
No luck yet...
I figured my strategy would be to start with the cheap stuff first and move on from there. With that in mind, this morning I changed the spark plugs with new NGK BKR7ES-11's.
Along the way, I noticed that a plastic valve that attaches to vacuum hoses on the throttle body had cracked off. See the attached photo; the valve is connected to the top hose (toward the top left of the picture). I went to the dealer and replaced that also. I had hoped that this was the root of the problem, but alas, no.
I drove the car for 30+ miles, yet the problem persists. If anything it's worse. After returning, the car nearly stalled after I pulled slowly away from a stop sign. Also, going in reverse down the driveway also almost caused it to stall.
Next, I guess I'll go for a new throttle body purchased off the Internet, unless someone has other tips for the cause of the problem.
As always, thanks for the help.
Tony
