Well, now why would you want to do that?

I have a MY05 Arc Wagon, and could not get one (long story) with roof rails, and have regretted ever since.

The option for me was the dorky, noisy, SAAB factory cross bars, which embarass me with their cheap plastic side covers.

I wish I had them. I have roof rails on my MY99 Linear Wagon, and have mounted Thules on both wagons.

It makes my cargo space bigger than most mini-vans

By the way, there was no way of retrofitting the roof rails on the Arc, so I can't imagine there is a process for taking them off, easily.

Please think about it before you get out a hacksaw,
