I bought my 2002 V6 Arc on 2/3/2006. It was purchased from the local SAAB Dealer and was CPO'ed. It had approximately 45K miles on it and I paid $16K + registration fees out-the-door. Some at the time said it was a good deal and others said I paid too much. Where I am leading is this: The turbocharger let loose on 2/5/2006 which took out the throttle body. The Dealer replaced the turbo and throttle body. Then at 50K miles, the catalytic (center muffler?) and rear muffler had rust holes in them. The Dealer replaced the exhaust system. They told me warranty claims are in excess of $3500. They have replaced other small stuff under the warranty. I had the center console latch crack and it couldn't be repaired. They replaced the whole center console ($800 warranty). With that said, I'm a fan of CPO'ed cars. I would have been pretty upset if I had paid $16K for the car and had to dump $3500-4000 into repairs, making it a $20k investment. Or for that matter, paid $12K for the SAAB and dumped $4K into it, making it expensive enough to have purchased a CPO'ed SAAB in the first place. Proceed with caution.
