With all due respect, it is a well known fact that the CKP sensor very seldom leaves a fault code in the system even when it is so bad that the car stall and die from it.
At least now, since the car is dead, it is a lot bigger chance that they find the problem.
The worst thing is when a car stall out for a customer and then start and runs perfect at the shop.
Since the poster suspect alternator being the culprit I assume the engine is not cranking over at all anymore, because if the engine would crank over still but not firing up, it is less likely it would be an alternator or battery problem.
