Had to remove center console from 2005 ARC to get the rug out for cleaning. Couldnt find help searching here ... so thought I would post my findings for the next person. Let' see. Remove 3 screws holding vertical side panels in place. Remove 1 screw holding armrest hinge plate. Remove 2 screws holding hinge spring bar. Pry out storage bin (like where the ashtray would be) by using flat screwdeiver inserted at the bottom of bin. It just pops right out. Behind the bin are 2 more screws. Next, need to pry off the fake wood center panel with flat screwdriver. Be careful here - it does pry off but work in gently. Under this panel are 2 more screws. Next, you need to pry off the rubber trim from the auto shift lever. Get it started and then just pull up with your hands. Then you need to pry out the shifter faceplate. Use a very thin, flat screwdriver ... and pry into 4 places around the edge. Lift while you are prying ... and it will pull out. This gets everything loosened up. Lastly, will need to disconnect electrical plugs, pop off the emergency brake leather boot, and disconnect this antenna thing. I believe thats it - if not - whatevers left will be obvious. Good luck.
