9-5 Wagon: Mysterious rear light failure: wiring?

My wife's 9-5 wagon has a recurring intermittent problem with one of the rear lights, driver's side inner lamp. I got the Rear Light Failure message & checked the bulb - it's good. On closer inspection I wasn't getting 12v. at the socket. I tried cleaning off the contacts with an eraser - no change. It was starting to get too dark to see last night, so I decided to knock off, and shut the trunk. Presto! When the hatch closed, the light lit up, and stayed lit! So, obviously, there's a wiring problem somewhere.
The connector wiring looks good, so I need to trace backwards. Where does the harness from the driver's side hatch wiring go?
