Brake sensor location

Hi all,
I am hoping to be educated before I bring my car in to have the brake sensor replaced or repaired, hopefully repaired.
What used to be a very infrequent problem, now happens just about every time I get in the car; when hitting a small bump in the road, the brake light, warning light, TCS light and ABS light come on. Had the codes read, indicates faulty brake sensor. The speedo still works and no CEL or message on SID, so unlikely it's a faulty ABS module, right?
The first time this happened a few months ago, the indy called the Saab dealer to inquire about the part and was told $400.00, (maybe it was $200.00) and was also told "these rarely fail".
I posted this and someone came back and said that it may have come loose.
I was hoping someone might have some first hand experience with the same problem. Would it be worthwhile to poke around to see if the connectors are loose/shot or should I bite the bullet and go ahead and replace? Is it easy to get to it?
Sorry for the long post and any advice appreciated.
