it is my forth Aero, the last being a 2000 9-5 Aero. My wife has 2004 ARC.
This time my biggest reason for getting the Aero was the seats. I'm a big guy (222 lbs) and there is a noticeable difference between the Aero and the non-Aero.
I liked the 2007 non-Aero and I like my wife's ARC. If not for the seats, I was ready to buy the non-Aero.
With the non-Aero or an ARC you can switch to Koni's later.
The ride is a little firmer in the Aero and, of course there is the Academy. However, the engines are now the same (since 2006) and so are the tires and rims. It comes down to suspension and seats.
If you get a 2006-2007 non-Aero you can upgrade the suspension; the interior and seats would be prohibitively expensive to upgrade.
Finally, there is the issue of the Aero Academy...you'll have to call that one.
