I have used these Khumos ever since the original Michelins wore out. I get at least 25000miles on the tires and find their ride is secure and pretty smooth (the michelins were smoother but much more expensive and did not wear as long). With 58,500 miles on the car, I just replaced two Khumos (had 25000 miles on them with 4/10s left) with the same due to a punctured tire going 70mph in 100degree heat in Atlanta rush hour. Not sure how long I had been driving with the puncture (on rear) before I noticed vibration as I took my exit. Pulled over and had major inside wall damage and one very hot tire. Took fifteen minutes to put the donut on and stow bad tire.
A lesser tire probably would have shred faster causing possible loss of control and certain 17" BBS wheel damage. I'll keep with the Khumos mates.
