ACC Problems

The other day I noticed that the AC wasn't working correctly in my '99 9-5. I checked the refrigerant pressure (high and low side) and everything appeared to be okay with the compressor cycling normally. I then noticed that the driver's side vents are putting out air approximately 10* warmer than the passenger side (the passenger side seems to operate relatively normal). I then began to suspect the Heater Box Blend Doors. I checked for faults but it came back with a "0" on the display - no faults. I checked the the blend door shaft on the drivers side, and as far as I can tell, it is intact (outside the blend chamber). The stop arm is cracked at the bottom as shown on the saabsite's tutorial, but it still seams to be functioning properly. So that leaves where the shaft actually connects to the blend door. So Here are my questions:
1) Does my analysis seem correct?
2) Could it be something beside the blend door in the Heater Box?
3) Could it be the stepping motor? If so how would I test?
4) Is there anyway to look inside the Heater Box without disassembling the entire Dash?
5) If the shaft is broken inside the Heater Box, is there a simple fix?
Thanks to any and all that can help...
