Sounds decent for something that sounds so unaerodynamic.
Talking about unaerodynamic motoring and mileage I know windows up and A/C is supposed to result in better mileage than windows down at speed. Although I haven't really tested it in a rigerous fashion it really seems I have been getting better mileage this summer with the windows down even while cruising ~ 75 mph. This is based simply by watching mileage fall and rise on the SID as I have alternated between the two and order doesn't seem to matter so I don't think it is just averaging effects during trip. Maybe I am nuts and I could be wrong but anyone else notice similar?
My 2006 sedan this summer is now turning a consistent 31-33 mpg for trips running on the interstate ~ 75 mph + misc through town to get from end point to end point [this is normally with windows down too during almost all of trip instead of A/C]. In fact last trip I was sitting at 34.2 mpg according to SID over 250+ miles ~ 1 mile from home but some construction I had a delay at and traffic lights dropped me to 33.8 mpg by the time I pulled in the drive. Happy to be getting this sort of mileage with this car especially since that car has yet to hit 5000 miles.
