I've got turbo problems too on my 2001 V6. They definitely weren't made like they used to be. 110k sounds pretty good, especially if it's an LPT, I've heard them go at 60k. The HOT's in the Aeros last a lot longer. Turbos usually don't go that suddenly; you will notice a puff of blue smoke at start up for a while and it will gradually get worse. Turbo failure also doesn't tend to make your car stall, although it could. Have you had the latest PCV (#6) update installed in your car? I'm not entirely sure how this works, but I have heard that if you open up the intake tube right before it enters the throttle body, and there's a considerable amount of oil in there, it's the turbo. If it's relatively dry, it's probably the PCV. Do a search on the BB for "PCV" if you want more information.
