Re 2002 aero, vacuum hose disconnected at throttle body, beat Evo, wrx, neon, mustang gt, cobra, bmw m3,( keep in mind this was from aprox 60mph to 125 mph...) Also had pinging at high pressure /boost... only lost to twin turbo late nineties R.X.7 and new bmw m6..... I reconnected hose and now the car runs slower... I have noticed more torque steer, no pinging whatsoever..(goodthing).. I am at 6,200 elev.. Why was I getting so much better performance? It seems as though the auto transmission kicked down hard and allowed me to jet! No the kickdown is smoother and I dont have the power..... Any thoughts on why I was so much faster before? I did adaption runs at 125 mph with the hose off when I did the runs I also had pinnging ...then let off... fyi...
