For nearly one year, the 9-5 consistently hesitates / lunges during cruising speeds.
Symptoms / thoughts:
- 1 mile city proceeding to 10 to 20 miles highway. At about 10 miles into drive you may feel a intermittent misfire then it progresses into an intermittent lunge
- Happens during cruising speed (say 75 mph w/cruise)
- Can be more pronounced when low on gas
- Consistent for a year or so. Just seems to be more pronounced and worrisome.
- Exact symptoms prior to dealer replacing the Throttle Body 57k miles ago
- Fuel filter consistently changed and recently replaced
- NGK BCPR6ES-II plugs replaced 20k miles ago.
- Fuel pump replaced 20k miles ago.
- Direct Ignition Cassette changed 15k miles ago
- ECM computer is completely up to date
Sometimes it really bad while others it doesn't do it at all. Is that reasonable to have the throttle body is going bad at 57k since last repair? I'm dumbfounded to believe Saab hasn't fixed / redesigned or updated the Throttle Body since 99?
Any other suggestions? Doesn't appear to be a vacuum leak.
