I first noticed this after the car had been run and then parked on a hot day. Now I find it occurs after a good hard run. My drive home from work usually involves 8-10 miles of high speed driving (70+) followed by 2-3 miles of creeping (stop and go) followed by 5-7 miles of 45-60 followed by 2 miles of suface streets. At the end of the creep period on a 90+ F day, the engine really strains to accelerate with some surging and hesitation and boost limited to the 12 o'clock position on the gauge. The transmission downshifts hard and the engine revs and it is nothing like when the car is first at operating temp. At that point it is smooth power, boost into the red, and it is effortless. There are no codes, no CEL, etc and with only 15K miles I doubt it is the Throttle body, and I had the dealer check all of this. I thought it might be fuel, but it doesn't seem to matter brand or grade. What is flaking out when it gets hot? Also took the plugs out and checked gap this weekend. The plugs were completely clean - not even any carbon. Any ideas?
