My '01 LPT (50K miles) stalled 3 times yesterday at stoplights. It started right back up each time, and did not give any check engine errors or codes. Other than that it runs smoothly - it wasn't even idling rough at the stoplights, it just cut out. It has also not been hesitating, etc. Also, it didn't happen every time I stopped, just a few of them. It had no issues driving to work this AM. Ugh!

From looking over the bbd, I've come up with this list (below) of possible causes. Am I missing something? How can I rule these out?


1) Bad fuel (I just filled up the tank) How do I know/fix?

2) Throttle body (seen in other posts, but unlike those posts, my car is running smoothly otherwise)

3) Crank position sensor (again, taken from bbd but my car restarts immediately and without delay)

4) What else? A friend suggested air filter, but I'm not sure I'm convinced.
