Turn over, no start...

02 95 wagon 60k miles, automatic
Well, there is clearly car karma going on. I went car shopping yesterday, thought I'd think about it and stop by the dealer tomorrow.
Today get about 7 miles from home, stop to shop. Come out -- car turns over, but no start. AAA sent a battery truck first (ummm, told them it had a new battery!), guy listens -- says fuel pump is not working. (I think he might be right). Then had it towed to the dealer.
I'm getting to know this routine a little too well. This is the 5th tow for the car in about 2 years -- so I'm about to throw in the towel. I'm a single Dad, one car -- and this just doesn't cut it anymore. Love the car...but I can't get stranded with my kids or a car full of kids anymore (this is the 3rd time its happened)
Kills me that the part alone for a new fuel pump is about ~$550... close to 2 car payments. oh well, so goes it. (heck, the cab ride from the dealer was $40, too)
SO I'm thinking about a 9-7. While I like the new 9-5, its just a little too familiar. Around here the lease prices on the 2008 9-7's are quite low.
