Can't be sure what fixed what...
Cleared the code, removed MAF, blew out connectors, placed silicone seal over the harness side connector where the wires go in and in the 4th hole that is empty... clear through.
Cleaned the MAF with plastics safe electronic cleaner. Saw some suggestions of water marks in the MAF. Also gently wiped the MAF resistors with a cotton swap and cleaner - might be dancing with the devil.
The MAF and rubber ducts all seemed dry, as in oil free, with my oiled K&N type filter.
Cleaned the TB.
Checked the plugs, #7ES, quite pale-white. Gaps good.
Drove 200 miles today, flawless and great MPGs. All of the IM status categories achieved ready state. The evap took forever to go ready, over 100 miles. No sign of missing or hesitation.
