You can go to tirerack and look at reviewers ratings of variuos make/models. Research of endusers is most useful but still very qualitative. Actual "proffesional" tests are probably only useful in the context of noise when new. My experince is that most tires are quiet for first 5k or so but then they will start to deteriorate. Look for reviewers who have put sufficant miles on thier tires for a more useful opinion. In gernreal I have found OEM all season tires to be quiet, I think too often teh OEM's main selection criteria is quiet ride, makes for better test drive impressions. The higher performance tires tend to be noiser.
