I posted recently here regarding a hole in the upper hose of the PCV system that leads into the cam cover. The hose itself needs to be replaced, obviously, but I believe it was sliced intentionally by the dealer when I took the car in after receiving the memo on PCV issues from SAAB. The hole is too well formed and the slices in the hose are too clean I've talked to an indie and they believe it was cut as well. Bottom line here is that I really don't have any recourse without specific proof, so that still leaves me with needing to install the latest PCV fix.
Dealer has a kit which includes 3 hoses, a valve check, and an oil trap, for about $150. I'd like to install myself - to achieve some moral victory here - but was wondering if this is the latest "fix", if there is a tutorial available somewhere and if I can get the part for cheaper than $150. I'm going to check Eeuroparts.com, but any additional thoughts or advise would be extremely helpful.
