I bought my car 1+ years ago...2003 Aero...The SID started going bad little by little soon after I got the car. By spring time this year it was illegible. I sent the SID to Kramer based on the good reviews. The SID came back about a month ago and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. I just started noticing pixels going bad, only a couple of them. I hope it stops there or you'll be sure that there will be some not so good reviews written by me....
The real issue with the SID is that SAAB put out, knowingly, a defective part in their cars and did nothing to correct it. I am a firm believer that this should have been a recall and that we shouldn't be paying for repairs or chatting here who's the best person to do it.
If anyone knows how to do it, I will sign in into any class action suit against them....Don't get me wrong, I love Saabs, but the SID is one of my pet peeves....makes me wonder, what else is out there??
