Just have to plug these new Michelin tires. Mounted last week to replace worn older MXV4 Energy's and the difference is stunning. Have put on 500 miles over the weekend and today, covering good and bad freeways as well as smooth two lane and 40 miles of gnarly, twisty backroad in the dark tonight. They are so smooth, supple and quiet that it has transformed my car (2001 LPT w/95K). When I looked at the unmounted tires I noticed more curve in the sidewalls, which I would guess allows the softer ride. As a result, the "turn-in" response is not quite as sharp as a more performance-focused tire, but once set they grip really well, especially when being thrown down a really bad two lane. And the ride on any kind of road surface.... awesome.
