Working my through my new (to me) 04 sportwagon, 37K miles
The car had a noise at idle that sounded like a vacc leak or squeek. Replaced the not-worn short belt with the long belt, replaced the two pulleys and added the 3rd. The didn't seem too bad, but a little play in the tensioner pulley. No more noise. The long belt IS much quieter. Thanks, Sweedcar.
Also dumped the trans fluid, came out very dark for only 37K miles.
I'm going to dump again at the next oil change, and then every other. I can't imagine running this to 60K considering what it looked like when it came out.
Got Mobil 3039 for about $6/ qt online. Was quoted 11 qt,$18/qt for a flush at the dealer, plus labor.
No questions, just rambling after a couple of easy projects
