Installing aftermarket radio.....

I tried searching the site for a good, all inclusive thread covering the subject, but I didn't really find what I wanted, so here I am :) I have a 2002 9-5 2.3lpt. I'm wanting to get a double din Kenwood stereo installed so I will have a good way to hook up my Archos 605 media player. I tried living with the hookup through the tape deck but the quality is horrible this way. I went to several good installers and they said they didn't want to try it because they didn't show any wiring harnesses in their system. They also voiced concern over being able to keep the factory amp since the amp is hooked up through the current harness and not rca's like aftermarket radio's are. If anyone has the time to help me through this I would greatly appreciate it. It is just a crime to try to listen to music on a normally very good H-K system when the current hookup to my media player is making it sound like crap. Well happy turkey day to all and happy saabin.
