I believe it is two separate issues.
The 'Service Theft Alarm' and random alarm soundings are due to the batteries in the alarm siren going dead, or as you say low alarm battery. This is for the siren only, and I don't believe it would cause a no start condition, as the car can operate normally without the siren. If you don't attend to this soon, you will not be too popular with your neighbors, and end up tearing the siren out of the car while it is screaming at you (ask me how I know :)). Do yourself a favor and remove and repair this one before it is an issue, so you can fix it at your leisure. I took mine to an electronics repair shop to solder in the batteries, as my soldering skills weren't really up to ciruit board work. The tech who did the work replaced the batteries and 're-heated' any other joints that could be stressed in his opinion, these were the larger more vertical components that protruded higher off the circuit board.
The no start sounds like CPS failure - if the engine will turn over but not crank when warm only. If you are turning the key and nothing (engine does not turn over), like a dead battery then it could be something else like a short in the ignition switch or something electrical.
Has this been replaced? It failed on my 9-3.
Do your battery terminals look corroded? How old is the battery?
Hope this helps,
Don
