Turned out to be pretty easy. You need to pull the alarm (under driver's side wheel well). Mine had screws to take the alarm box apart. I used a dremmel tool cutting wheel to cut trhough the glue that holds the batteries on. You also need to unsolder them. I got the batteries (you need to) via some battery company on the internet. They were about $7-8 each, plus about $7 shipping; about $25 total.
Resolder the new batteries on, replace the box, put the wheel trim back on, and your good to go. Or at least I haven't gotten the alarm needs servicing message since.
