Saab has changed the way the switch works over the years. My experience...
2000 9-5 Aero: Switch would stay in for ON, and further out for off.
2004 9-5 ARC: Switch functioned lke a toogle...no in or out; just mementary depression to toogle the mirror ON, ON with compass, and OFF
2007 9-5 Aero: Variation #3! Switch functioned lke a toogle...no in or out; just mementary depression to toogle the mirror ON with compass, and OFF.
