Agreed, Mike. I can't make a judgment on the bodywork, as the car is hundreds of miles away. The best vehicle we are looking at now is at a Saab dealer, CPO'd, pretty good price except very far away. It's got 55K miles, CPO 'till 12/09. But never saw the dealer until 1-1/2 years (14K miles) after being leased.
Got to add in the shipping or the time and $$ a trip to retrieve it might take. I tend to go with good shipping in the winter, as you just never know what Mother Nature can cook up very quickly. Having bought my current 9-5 Aero as a CPO, the experience was excellent, except maybe for the selling dealer being pretty lame - he went out of business a year later anyhow. But my local dealer is a gem, so service would be good no matter where the car comes from.
