the bearing is held by 3 bolts in a triangular pattern. the reason why this job is a 'tougher' job is b/c the top bolt is not accessible without doing a few extra steps.
Following needs to be done:
- remove driver's side wheel
- remove the caliper (need 7mm allan wrench), brake pads, steel bracket
- remove set screw (need 5mm allan wrench) from rotor and then rotor
- after removing the soft metal dust cap from centre of hub, you need a 32mm (1.25") to remove the nut.
- Now, remove the 2 bolts that hold the brake assembly to the strut assembly (18mm nut)
- at this point, you should be able to pull the bearing (and company) towards you to push the axle through. once free, the bearing can be removed, replaced, and the reverse instruction shoudl take you home.
Note: the last step is for purchase of the bearing and hub assembly together (see eeuroparts.com), but if you get the bearing individually, you'll need a press to remove the old bearing.
