I'm posting this in the general board because it seems to be a general issue. I've started noticing this in my 03 9-5 from time to time. A family member recently started occasionally getting this problem in a Chevy.
From what I can tell this is normal, but due to shifting or rather giving the car gas faster than the solenoids can switch to from R to D.
What makes little sense is that I drive the same as always and this family member is anything but quick. Can this be weather related? Colder fluids are bit thicker, but the 3309 in the Saab and synthetic in the Chevy shouldn't be as sensitive to this.
Both cars have relatively fresh fluid.
Any other ideas?
