Because of course, if you have to spend too much money (like $1000 for an ECU upgrade and $600 for a rebuilt TD04 turbo), then you might as well sell it and buy a real Aero... so here goes my budget upgrade plan (all costs DIY):
* Aero springs (wagon, automatic) from someone that changed to H&R or other lowering springs. (free-ish).
* Homemade spacers for rear springs to add about 1cm... Aero springs might be too low for you (they were on my '01 wagon). (maybe $100 if you have to pay a machinist - see my gallery)
* Bilstein shocks/struts. ($500)
* Genuinesaab sway bar upgrade kit. ($200)
* Genuinesaab or dealer - air intake upgrade ($20)
* PCV upgrade kit! $50
* new Bosch stock bypass valve (your original will probably die soon anyways and is probably already leaking boost, put in a new one and keep the old as spare) ($50)
* new NGK plugs, new stock air filter, new synthetic oil change with PT Cruiser Turbo filter, triple change transmission fluid ($100)
