I have the Tap-3F antenna mounted in my 9-5's rear window. (In fact the car on the UHLtronics website is mine...) The reception with the antenna is about the same to marginally better than that with the phone out of the cradle.
The problem with other types of antennas and modern Saabs is that the windows in the modern Saabs have a bit of metal in them to reduce cabin heat when you leave your car parked in the sun.
This small amount of metal changes the capacitance of the glass. Window mount antennas that have a portion that sticks inside the car and a portion that sticks outside the car rely on a coupling between the two pieces. The capacitance of the glass effects the frequency coupling.
In my testing (Which included ~10 antennas) I got the best results with the TAP-3f. All the other units actually degraded the signal when compared to using the phone out of the cradle. I bought quite a few really good antennas, but none of the internal/external glass mount versions performed acceptably.
